ビッグでホットでボールドな、これぞカリフォルニアのジンファンデル！

堪能しましたね～。 むふ。

恐らく大事に仕込まれたのでしょう・・・。

完熟のレーズンジュースを頂いているかのような甘重コク旨で（嬉）、寒い冬の夜にぴったりのジンファンデルでした。

第５回ナパ・ソノマ飲み合宿２日目に、ナパの北端カリストーガの外れにあるZAHTILA VINEYARDSで買い求めてまりました～。原料のジンファンデルは樹齢28年で、Oat　Hillという作業場に面した（笑）斜面で育ったのだそうです。【関連記事】

オーナー兼ワインメーカーのLauraさん自らが、カウンターに立ってグラスに注いでくれるほどのワイン造りへの熱い想いが印象的なワイナリーでした。造り手同様に熱くて（笑）、生産量わずか220ケースの稀少ジンファンデルでした～。

Note

Calistoga - the most "up" of the upvalley of Napa Valley plays host to some of the most volcanic, rocky soil in the entire valley. The Oat Hill was formed when earthquakes and volcanos were common, pushing the hill up from underneath the earth. Grapevines, planted in 1980, 1996 and in 2010 all share the same persistence - growing in this rocky soil is not easy. The resulting wine of 2008 is silky and complex. Carmel on the nose is prevalent, along with the palate of concentrated plum, berries and spice. Pair this wine with your favorite, spicy dish or roasted meat!
